Range of Wire and Chain Fittings
The wire and chain fittings are used in clamping systems that require the attachment and protection of wires and chains. These fittings are used in different sectors, including construction, electricity, industry, agriculture or maritime, among others.
The range is comprised of a wide variety of products such as as wire rope clips, turnbuckles, thimbles, shackles, eyebolts and carabiners, made of both steel and stainless steel.
See catalogueWhat are wire and chain fittings used for?
These fittings are used to attach and protect wires and chains. This range offers a solution that prevents wires and chains from slipping or becoming damaged.
The Chavesbao product range is made of steel and stainless steel, which makes it perfect for exterior use in cases where the installation is exposed to adverse weather conditions, and its resistance must be guaranteed.

Eyebolts
An eyebolt, eyelet or eye hook is a ring-shaped piece of metal used to connect wires and chains when we want to tie an object to it. The threaded eyebolt can be male or female. Its main use is to join two parts in a load-bearing system, such as in the fastening of awnings, cables or wires, among others.
The eyebolts available are article 582 (similar to DIN 582) in galvanised and A2 and A4 stainless steel; and article 580 (similar to DIN 580) in galvanised and A2 and A4 stainless steel.
Shackles
A shackle is a fitting used as an intermediary piece between the eyebolt or hook and the sling. It is comprised of a ring and a pin that are used to support chains, immobilise objects or move them in a faster and more streamlined way.
The available shackles are articles SHA-DE and SHA-BO, and are available in galvanised or A4 stainless steel.
Thimbles
The thimble is a ring that protects the wire to prevent it from becoming worn or misshapen as a result of friction. It is oval-shaped to adapt the rope to the required diameter and has a groove on the surface to facilitate grip. The main use of the thimble is to protect the rope and extend its service life, in addition to reducing noise and vibration of the ropes and chains during use.
The thimbles are available in galvanised and A4 stainless steel in DIN Standard 6899.
Turnbuckles
A turnbuckle is a fitting that consists of three parts that can end in either an open hook or a closed eye. It is used to stretch and maintain constant cable, rope or wire tension.
Turnbuckles are available in galvanised or A4 stainless steel DIN Standard 1480.
Wire Rope Clips
The wire rope clips, also known as cable glands, is a clamp that consists of a U-shaped clevis, a bridge and two nuts, which is used to firmly connect wires or wire clamps in simple systems where terminals cannot be used or where a temporary connection is required.
Wire rope clips are available in galvanised or A4 stainless steel DIN Standard 741 and in SJP articles..
Carabiners
The carabiner is a type of shackle with a spring-loaded latch that allows other items to be easily connected and disconnected. Carabiners are mainly used to attach and link the different components.
Carabiners are available galvanised, in accordance with DIN Standard 5299.
The range of fittings is NOT governed by Directive 2006/42/EC. In no case are the items that comprise it valid as standard protective equipment.
THE IMPORTANCE OF STAINLESS STEEL
We have more than 3,400 references in screws, nuts, washers and other items
Stainless steel is a type of metallic material characterised by its resistance to corrosion. The presence of chromium in stainless steel is what gives it its anti-corrosive properties.
Stainless steel in fasteners ensures high durability by preventing corrosion in fasteners in outdoor or humid environments, where other materials may oxidise.
Why should you choose stainless steel and what for?
Stainless steel is an essential material due to its durability and resistance to corrosion in installations with more demanding requirements. It is perfect for use in long-term applications exposed to adverse weather conditions, as stainless steel stands out as a highly resistant and durable material and does not show any wear in its external appearance.
